چکیده
Crude oil pollution is an endemic environmental problem in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria with background levels greater than regulatory intervention limit 5000mg/kg soil as stipulated Environmental Guidelines and Standards for Petroleum Industry (EGASPIN) most polluted sites. Hence, essence this study was to evaluate extent damage caused by pollutant (crude hydrocarbons) on physicochemical parameters microbial communities well determine effects ecosystem services. The community composition, diversity, functional genes, metabolic pathways were studied effect microbiomes their ability utilize petroleum hydrocarbons carbon energy sources. Two sites Bodo (N4.620134, 7.282998E) Ngia-Ama Tombia (N4.9816667; 7.0608333E) chosen study. America standard testing methods (ASTM International) used measuring influencing response behavior environment. Soil pH measured using a meter, total (TPH) gas chromatography mass spectrophotometer (GC-MS), polycyclic aromatic (PAHs) D5412-93(2017) e1), Heavy metals analysis D8404-21), texture D6913/D6913M-17). Shotgun metagenomic following “DNA extraction”, library preparation (Nextera® DNA Flex Library Prep Kit (Illumina, San Diego, CA), sequencing Illuminana NovaSeq® 6000. results analyzed bioinformatics pipelines. sequences generated deposited European nucleotide Archive (ENA) project accession number PRJEB53529.

Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in sediments and soils from oil exploration areas of the Niger Delta, Nigeria.
The distribution of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in sediments from rivers and canals adjoining some oil exploration sites in the Niger Delta and surface soils from host communities were examined. The concentrations of 28 target PAHs ranged from 65 to 331 ng/g (average: 168 ng/g) and from 24 to 120 ng/g (average: 80 ng/g) in the sediment and soil samples, respectively. Two-ring PAHs w...
متن کاملMicrobial populations of crude oil spill polluted soils at the Jordan-Iraq desert (the Badia region)
Microbial populations' inhabitants in crude petroleum contaminated soils were analyzed in relation with the soil characteristics. A noticeable greater decline of bacterial counts and diversity but a prevalence of the genus Pseudomonas over the other identified genera in the fresh contaminated soils as compared to the old ones was observed.

Phytoremediation is an emerging environmental-friendly technology that can be a promising solution to remediate oil-polluted soils. The impact of high amount of hydrocarbons on growth characteristics of burningbushand common flax was evaluated in this survey. The influence of organic fertilizers was also assessed on growth of plant species in oil...
متن کاملBioremediation of petroleum hydrocarbons from crude oil-contaminated soil with the earthworm: Hyperiodrilus africanus
A study on the bioremediation potentials of the earthworm Hyperiodrilus africanus (Beddard) in soil contaminated with crude oil was investigated. Dried and sieved soils were contaminated with 5 ml each of crude oil with replicates and inoculated with earthworms and monitored daily for 12 weeks. Physicochemical parameters such as pH, total organic carbon, sulfate, nitrate, phosphate, sodium, pot...
